Code Vein 2 got Patch 1.0.7 as another big update for the game. Improvements are primarily focused around optimisation across platforms, along with some gameplay changes and added features.
Developer Bandai Namco is continuing support for Code Vein 2 after launch, tweaking the game based on player feedback. Optimisation improvements have been made to help reduce stuttering and overall enhance performance on all platforms.
The update also brings some new systems that aim to reward players for replaying through the game’s story. This includes a brand new difficulty that is unlocked by default, as well as an expanded Affinity System to track your relationship with companions. There are also some quality of life improvements and customisation options.

Performance Optimisations
- Lowered load required for enemy / environment object spawns
- Attack & hit effects and boss attacks optimized
- Riding the motorcycle runs smoother
- Decreased load from partner outfits and VFX
- General stability improvements
Gameplay Changes
- New replay difficulty option is now ON by default
- Enemies deal more damage in New Game+ difficulty
- Receive more Haze from harder enemies
- Option to Turn off the New Difficulty Experience
Affinity Tweaks
- Affinity UI was added
Tracking Affinity is now divided into three categories:
- Exploration Affinity – Earned by fighting enemies and traveling with partners.
- Story Affinity – Earned through quest and episode progression with certain characters.
- Gift Affinity – Earned by giving certain items to your partners.
Quality of Life
- Trade and Gift functions were added for your companions.

Patch 1.0.7 is a great update that players will want to download for Code Vein 2. Not only does it improve upon the games performance, but it adds value to playing through the story a second time.
