Code Vein 2 got Patch 1.0.7 as another big update for the game. Improvements are primarily focused around optimisation across platforms, along with some gameplay changes and added features.
Developer Bandai Namco is continuing support for Code Vein 2 after launch, tweaking the game based on player feedback. Optimisation improvements have been made to help reduce stuttering and overall enhance performance on all platforms.
The update also brings some new systems that aim to reward players for replaying through the game’s story. This includes a brand new difficulty that is unlocked by default, as well as an expanded Affinity System to track your relationship with companions. There are also some quality of life improvements and customisation options.

Tracking Affinity is now divided into three categories:
- Exploration Affinity – Earned by fighting enemies and traveling with partners.
- Story Affinity – Earned through quest and episode progression with certain characters.
- Gift Affinity – Earned by giving certain items to your partners.

- Trade and Gift functions were added for your companions.
