Treyarch have rolled out an update to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and although it's not as large as its predecessor, it does include the company's announcement of several updates to their network setup coming in the following two weeks.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's new update is mostly reserved for stability improvements for regular multiplayer as well as Blackout and Zombies. It seems like Zombies are giving Treyarch a bit of a headache, as the balance pass was not enough to resolve all the issues.
The company claim to have fixed the crashes occurring for Master Prestige players in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's multiplayer and Zombies modes. Treyarch also announced "further improvements for related UI issues" in one of the future updates.
Certain combinations of weapons, camo and/or attachments seem to be persistent problems for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, like the Helion Salvo-any camo-Fast Lock combo that was fixed in the game's last update , which happens to be the game's biggest update since launch. This time around, Treyarch fixed the bug that crashed the game when crafting shields with frugal fetish equipped.
The Zombies mode has seen stability improvements on all the maps, while the Blood of Dead storyline specifically has player shield information correctly showing. Treyarch wrote that the crash when turning on the power in custom mutations matches has been done away with too.
As for Blackout, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's battle royale mode, navigating through stash lists should not require multiple d-pad presses and the collapse circle will no longer show as invisible to some players. There's also a fix to game's scoreboard bug that showed incorrect score when the scoreboard was opened after death.
In conclusion, Treyarch acknowledged that there's been much discussion about Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's network performance, promising that they're working on it around the clock. The company announced "several updates to [their] network setup" for the next two weeks and stressed that they've every intention to make Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 the "best-supported game [they]'ve ever delivered".
