We've been anxiously waiting for Activision Blizzard to spill the beans on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Season 2, and they just have. For starters, S2 will be kicking off tomorrow, or more precisely on 11 February 2020.
As you'd expect, new battlegrounds are coming for Classic Multiplayer, Ground War nad Gunfight modes. The dev promised that each is quite the experience, as they went the extra mile to ensure a unique, tactical and grounded gaming experience.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's first S2 map is the good old friend Rust, a Modern Warfare 2 classic that comes in Multiplayer and Gunfight editions. Expect close-up and personal fighting.
Next up is Atlas Superstore, a new Multiplayer map that's all about led-based consumerism. Zhokov Boneyard has players fighting at an aeroplane graveyard, while Bazaar is a Gunfight map that's reminiscent of the Middle East architecture.
Once Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players wear out the new-car smell, Infinity Ward and Activision will launch Khandor Hideout, a map they only showed.
They promised more modes coming mid-Season 2, like Demolition (a tweaked Search and Destroy, Infected Ground War and the NVG Reinforce playlist, which is a hybrid between Domination and Search & Destroy.
"The Season Two Battle Pass system features two Free weapons: A lightweight and mobile assault rifle the Grau 5.56 (Tier 15) which excels at range and a powerful SMG, the Striker 45 (Tier 31), that has potential at longer ranges compared to its class with a moderate rate of fire. And along the free Tiers, players can earn up to 300 Call of Duty points, calling cards, weapon charms, and more", the company wrote.
nfinity Ward will also be rolling out new Trials, Raes, Pitchers (more explosive versions of Cornhole), Gun Course 3.0, Clear the Area 2.0, new missions and a bunch more.
