Ahead of the official launch, Activision have shared new details about Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War pre-loading, file sizes on all consoles and pre-order bonuses.
Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is just around the corner now, and today, Activision have decided to share fresh info about pre-loading, file sizes and pre-order bonuses. Those with a slower internet connection will be happy to hear that the game will be available for pre-load eight days before the official launch, which is certainly great news given the size of the game.
The pre-loading on consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One kicks off on November 5, 2020, at 9:00 PM PT/ 6:00 AM CET. PC players will have to wait a bit longer as pre-loading starts on November 10, 2020 at 10:00 AM PT/ 7:00 PM CET.
- PlayStation 4: Pre-loading will be available on November 5 at 9 PM. PT.
- Xbox One: Pre-loading will be available on November 5 at 9 PM. PT.
- PC: Pre-loading will be available on November 10t at 10 AM PT.
As for the next-gen consoles, pre-loading will be available on their respective launch dates (November 10 for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, November 12 for PlayStation 5).
At launch, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War will require quite a lot of storage space. Here's the breakdown by platforms:
- PlayStation 4: 95GB
- PlayStation 5: 133GB
- Xbox One: 93GB
- Xbox Series X|S: 136GB
- PC: 35 GB (Multiplayer Only) / 82GB (Full Game) / 125GB (Full Game on Ultra Graphics)
Both PC and console players can also choose to install specific game mode packs, such as for Campaign and Zombies, in order to reduce the game's overall file size.
Last but not least, Activision confirmed that along with the Woods Operator pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone, digital pre-orders will receive the Confrontation Weapons Pack in Black Ops Cold War.
