Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is said to be performing quite well but until we've gotten our mitts on some proper data to show, let's take a look at the update Treyarch rolled out, which includes a balancing pass on the game's Zombies mode.
The company reminded that the patch also brings a a bunch of general stability and crash fixes in all the modes, but as promised, Zombies was the name of the game here so let's dig in.
Player health has been increased by 50 points in casual, normal and hardcore difficulty in classic mode, which suggests that the zombies were a tad too tough to handle. One would think a simple git gud would've done the trick. Treyarch also adjusted the rate at which players earn points and dropped the costs of shield repair and replacement.
The company also did a balance pass on tigers, hellhounds' spawn radius, speed and frequency and hellfire special weapon. There were some issues with camos in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies' multiplayer, but those have since been fixed.
Treyarch also listed a few changes specific to the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, such as fixing improperly functioning trauma kits in the game's new battle royale mode, Blackout. Seeing as how the company brought in Beenox to make sure that the PC version is properly taken care of , we're likely to see more segregation in the upcoming patch notes.
PC versions of Black Ops 4 are apparently plagued by a number of crashes, which the team are currently investigating and the same goes for map spawns and some progression issues. There were some issues with camos covering up weapon optics, which Beenox and Treyarch promised to fix in one of the upcoming updates.
Treyarch and Beenox already discussed how their attempts to differentiate the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 from its console counterpart resulted in significant changes to it, to the extent where it renders cross-play impossible.
