Treyarch have rolled out their latest update to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, kicking off Fourth of July special event with earnable Ultra Weapon Bribes, duplicate-protected crates, playlists and the announcement of Operation Apocalypse Z.
Operation Apocalypse Z starts on 09 July 2019 on PS4, so we're talking about a week of timed exclusivity before it arrives for Xbox One and the master race.
"The zombie apocalypse arrives one week from today on PS4 as the undead take over Multiplayer, Zombies, and Blackout in Operation Apocalypse Z! We’ll have more intel and surprises to share as we count down to launch, along with more of what’s in store for the next chapter of the Zombies Aether story in 'Alpha Omega'", Treyarch wrote.
As for the current content, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 dev team said that Fourth of July special event is live in the Contraband stream and should you reach tier 15, you'll earn Ultra Weapon Bribe.
"Ultra Weapon Bribes reward players with a new ranged Black Market weapon and two Reserve Cases when opened. If you already own a variant of all Black Market weapons, you'll be rewarded with an additional weapon variant from your Ultra Weapon Bribe", they said.
Speaking of duplicates, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 now offers Duplicate-Protected Crates on all the platforms, and you can trade them in at the Reserves tab of the Black Market. Six Reserve Cases can be traded for a Duplicate-Protected Crate, each of whom comes with three Reserve items.
Treyarch are bringing back two fan-favourite Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 playlists, Bolt-Action Barebones in multiplayer and Hardcore Duos in Blackout.
With the update, Xbox One and PC players are getting the new Hard Mode 'Unsinkable' Gauntlet in Zombies with doubled Nebulium Plasma, Blackjack's Stash, with PC players getting Endurance Free-for-All as well.
