Treyarch and Beenox have rolled out their biggest update yet, both for console and PC versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, bringing back the Black Market, introducing Operation: First Strike, Halloween themed Special event and more.

Starting with the console update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Treyarch has brought back the Black Market, although PC and Xbox One players will have to wait for another week until they can indulge in shopping. PS4 players can do so already of course, which is in line with Activision's announcement of one week

Operation: First Strike and Halloween-themed Special Event are available to PS4 players as per the same deal. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has received its first double-XP event and players on all platforms will be getting 2XP in multiplayer and 2X Nebulium Plasma in Zombies by Monday, 22 October 2018 at 10 am PT.

As for the general changes to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Treyarch made leaderboards available for multiplayer, Blackout and Zombies modes. Note that ranking in the latter two will require having played at least 25 games.

Treyarch tweaked spawn points on many Free For All and Domination maps and fixed some rogue behaving first-person combat animations. added 'Sprint Cancels Reload' option is now available in controls too. There have also been stability improvements across multiplayer, Zombies and Blackout.

As for the PC side of things, Beenox were planning for the update to address stability and micro-stutter issues they promised in the . Other than that, Blackout players can now report users after the Killcam and right clicking in the scoreboard will no longer prevent mouse functionality. The company also addressed the silly Helion Salvo-any camo-Fast Lock combo, which crashed the game.

Apparently, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's PC update should address the stuttering, although Beenox and Treyarch will keep monitoring. Beenox also reminded that setting the option called CPU Priority Management to Auto ensures that minimising the game locks it to 15 FPS and throttles down CPU and GPU use. So, if you're looking for actually accurate results, set it to Manual.
