League of Legends: Varus is finally receiving voice update

One of the ancient darkin, Varus was a deadly killer who loved to torment his foes, driving them almost to insanity before delivering the killing arrow

Varus, is set to receive a much-anticipated voice line overhaul in the upcoming League of Legends patch 13.13. This update aims to enhance the overall experience for Varus players!

Riot Games recognizes that the voice of a champion can sometimes become tiresome, particularly for players who main that champion and have been hearing the same lines for years. To address this, Riot periodically releases updates and reworks for older champions, refreshing their abilities and overall aesthetic. The latest champion to receive such treatment is Varus.

In the upcoming League of Legends Patch 13.13, Varus will undergo a voice update. This update includes not only a new voice for the champion but also introduces fresh voice lines and special interaction voice lines with certain other champions.

These additions aim to inject new life into Varus and enhance the player experience. Players can look forward to discovering the updated voice and engaging in unique interactions between Varus and other champions on the Rift.

Varus Voice update

Varus' new voice lines in League of Legends Patch 13.13 bring forth interesting interactions and dialogue. Here are some highlights:

When encountering Aatrox for the first time, Varus remarks, "Aatrox, brother, the double A thing is absurd and you know it."

Upon meeting Kayn in his Rhaast form, Varus suggests, "Rhaast, perhaps we should warn our siblings about Ionian vessels."

In moments of achieving a Pentakill, Varus boldly declares, "Slaughter is the right of my bow and my blood."

Surprisingly, Varus also references Naafiri, an upcoming champion who is not yet released in the game. He addresses Naafiri as an ally, saying, "Naafiri, you claim unity is power within me and against our enemies. Let us see together."

Furthermore, Varus' voice lines reveal the presence of two other voices in his head: Kai and Valmar. Kai and Valmar were hunters and lovers who sought the power of the caged Darkin Varus after Kai was mortally wounded. When respawning, Varus, along with the voices of Kai and Valmar, shares their thoughts:

Kai's voice states, "Another chance to choose peace," followed by Varus asserting, "I am a weapon, what choice do I have?"
Valmar's voice exclaims, "We're alive," with Varus concluding, "To see my revenge."

These new voice lines add depth and storytelling to Varus' character, giving players a glimpse into his internal struggles and relationships.
