Amazon Games continue with publishing efforts for Asian MMOs as they land the rights for Throne and Liberty.
Throne and Liberty is the next MMO from the Korean developer and publisher NCSoft, who may be best known for the likes of Guild Wars 2 , Aion and Lineage.
In some regions, however, the game will be published by Amazon Games who signed a deal with NCSoft , giving them the rights to promote and cash benefit from the game's potential success in North America, South America, Europe and Japan.
It is unknown why NCSoft aren't publishing this title worldwide themselves but if you ask Guild Wars 2 fans about the game's marketing, you might get some idea.
On the side of Amazon Games, this isn't their first foray into Asian MMOs as they were the ones to publish Lost Ark , the game that was long-awaited in the West.
The publishing branch of the company is growing quickly as well since the deals with Asian MMOs are not the only niche they are delving into. For example, Amazon Games already has deals with Crystal Dynamics to publish the next Tomb Raider as well as a few others.
That said, Asian MMO seems to be set on remaining the company's main publishing endeavour with the likes of Lost Ark, Blue Protocol and now Throne and Liberty under their belt.
