Treyarch recently introduced a bunch of new content to Call of Duty Black Ops 4 in their Operation Spectre Rising update which included new maps, Spectre specialist, big Blackout map changes and two new game modes named Prop Hunt and Bounty Hunter.
While players have been enjoying these modes in the last few days, Treyarch officially confirmed there are some issues that have to be addressed to make the modes more balanced and to offer everyone fair gameplay. These include some major tweaks and Treyarch's Senior Game Designer Matt Scronce explained what exactly the devs are working on and what changes can players expect.
According to Scronce, in Prop Hunt mode, Props will now take water/drown damage which means that if you play as Prop, you won't be able to stay underwater indefinitely, which is now the case. This was one of the most overpowered features in the new mode and it's nice that Treyarch are looking to quickly adress it.
Furthermore, Nuketown prop decoy problem that is causing Props to have unlimited health will be fixed and some improvements will be made to Best Play for Props.
As for the Bounty Hunter mode, Treyarch are looking into delaying Shadow Blade's purple beam until the first collapse. According to Scronce, this is being done in order to "avoid the cramped fights on the first landing. On top of that, Spectre specialist roll speed will be reduced and the cooldown time between his rolls will be increased.
Scronce did not say when exactly can players expect these tweaks to drop in Black Ops 4, but it shouldn't be long before the patch arrives.
