Bethesda have posted their Into the Vault blog update, detailing the changes for Fallout 76's battle royale Nuclear Winter, including balance adjustments, addressing duplicate perk rewards, stability and a bunch of others minor tweaks.

The dev team seem to be pretty stoked about Nuclear Winter, writing that the goal was to make a bite-sized Fallout 76 experience, but that being so much fun wasn't always a great thing.

"When we found we had to kill the server after every playtest just to make the team get back to work, we realized we were on to something. We were having a ton of fun, and the Sneak Peek was about finding out if you thought so, too", they wrote.

Thanks to the Fallout 76 community's response, Nuclear Winter is here to stay and Bethesda are looking to make a more fair experience for the same reason.

They're aware that as players rank up and get a wider variety of Perk Cards, balance will be essential but the team are already working on it.

"With this in mind, we're currently looking to address a few balance issues for a number of weapons and Perk Cards (And yes, that includes Frog Legs.)", they said.

Duplicate Perk cards Overseer Rank Up-Rewards are yet another issue it seems, but Bethesda are looking into it at the moment.

The dev wrote, "We're looking into these reports and we are currently discussing ways we can make improvements to this experience going forward."

Nuclear Winter will continue to be updated with the aforementioned and other updates in the upcoming period and Bethesda actually advise players to speak up about any concerns they may have.

"Please be vocal. We are actively reading and watching as much of your feedback as we can. Together, we can continue to improve Nuclear Winter. We're excited to see where it goes, and we will see you in Vault 51!"
