Closing out last night's packed Nintendo Direct presentation was a new trailer for Bayonetta 3. The action on show was impeccable but the fans did notice one significant change.
Bayonetta 3 is alive and we got a brand new Nintendo Direct trailer to confirm it. Platinum Games' action extravaganza was the fireworks at the tail end of an already packed showcase and delivered on most fronts.
Bayonetta 3 Nintendo Direct trailer
The trailer first shows us a bunch of soldiers trying and famously failing at containing a huge monster when another one attacks them from behind. This is where our favourite witch jumps in to save the day. Armed with Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, Thyme and a flurry of magical tricks up her sleeve, Bayonetta proceeds to dispatch the monsters.
Bayonetta is sporting a new look for the anticipated sequel, complete with pigtail braids and a cutesy dress. One glaring omission from the character's newest iteration is the voice actress. Hellena Taylor has so far been the source of Bayonetta's particular voice, but as the woman herself tweeted a couple of weeks ago: we might have to come to terms with the fact she isn't voicing Bayonetta anymore. The as of yet unknown voice actress is now responsible for bringing the witch to life and we hope the fan base will make her feel welcome.
