Legendary game director Hideki Kamiya is leaving Platinum Games after more than 17 years at the studio. The Japanese developer stated on X that the decision was not easy but was the best based on his own beliefs.
Kamiya teased his next endeavour, stating that he'll continue to create games in his Hideki Kamiya way and asked fans to keep their eyes peeled for announcements.
Platinum Games also released a statement, confirming that Kamiya will leave on October 12, 2023. Judging by their statement, there is no bad blood between them and Kamiya, which is always nice to see.
