EA has officially opened pre-loads for the Battlefield 6 beta across all platforms, including PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Whether you're planning to squad up or go solo, players can now download the beta build ahead of the early access launch, which officially kicks off later this week on August 7, 2025.
The beta download is 33.905 GB on PlayStation 5, Xbox comes at 37.56 GB while the PC build is at 35 GB.
The early access beta will be available to those who havean EA Play Pro subscription or previously redeemed their codes from Twitch Drops. You should also get an invitee if you've signed up to Battlefield Labs before July 31. Full open access for all players is expected to follow shortly after, though EA has yet to confirm the exact dates for general access.
The Battlefield 6 beta will give players a chance to test out some of the core gameplay features and maps ahead of the full release later this year. The game is officially set to launch on October 10, which gives EA and DICE more than enough time to implement potential changes and feedback from the beta.
Battlefield 6 is returning to a modern setting after World War 1, World War 2 and a slightly futuristic theme in recent entries. To me, it looks like a combination of Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4, which is something that fans have been asking for over the last couple of years.
The hype for Battlefield 6 is certainly building following the recent reveal but it's always good to keep your expectations in check, as previous titles looked great during reveal but had many issues on the launch.
Battlefield 6 will release on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox.
