Battlefield 6 is set to feature a Battle Royale mode, a recent datamine has revealed. The files, extracted from an early pre-alpha version of the game, reference a map named “Lyndon Beach” and the infrastructure elements needed for a Battle Royale mode, such as metro systems and large area zoning, strongly suggests that EA and Dice are developing a battle royale mode on a grander scale than ever before.
The game refers to the mode internally as “Battlefield Royale” and the map has been reconstructed by the dataminer who found the files, with several POIs visible in the terrain.
While specific features of the mode remain unknown, the variety of terrain suggested by its name and the metro system, indicative of urban features, could enable a mixture of both infantry and vehicular gameplay on Lyndon Beach.
Battlefield 6 Beta PC System Requirements Revealed
EA has also released minimum, recommended, and 4K-optimized specs for the upcoming beta, and it’s clear that the game will push hardware hard - especially at higher resolutions:
- Minimum: i5-8400, RTX 2060, 16 GB RAM
- Recommended: Ryzen 7 3700X, RTX 3060 Ti, 16 GB RAM
- 4K Ultra: Ryzen 9 9950X3D, RTX 5080, 32 GB RAM
The beta requires 30 GB of storage, indicating a reasonably lightweight client for early access. However, expect the final release to demand significantly more space.
