EA has dropped the first official Battlefield 6 trailer, confirming that this year’s entry will feature a full story campaign alongside its expected multiplayer modes. While today’s trailer focused on the narrative side of the shooter, EA confirmed that a multiplayer reveal will follow on July 31.
The cinematic footage showcased urban warfare in New York and several other locations, massive set-piece destruction, and intense aerial dogfights, giving a taste of the large-scale, chaotic combat the series is known for. Interestingly, the trailer’s tone and visual style draw heavy comparisons to Battlefield: Bad Company 2, one of the franchise’s most beloved entries.
Official trailer description:
"Witness the vicious path of destruction carved by Pax Armata, the world’s leading private military company. PAX pursues the destruction of NATO and its allies, stopping at nothing to uphold their motto: 'Our Protection, Your Peace.' Lock & load for the ultimate all-out warfare experience. Fight in high-intensity infantry combat. Rip through the skies in aerial dogfights. Demolish your environment for a strategic advantage. In a war of tanks, fighter jets, and massive combat arsenals, your squad is the deadliest weapon. This is Battlefield 6."
Battlefield 6 Screenshots
The Steam page for Battlefield 6 is up, and features a couple of screenshots from the trailer. However, don't expect to find any other details there as the page is pretty barebones.
No Release Date info yet
Despite showing quite a bit of footage, EA has not revealed a release date for Battlefield 6. It’s likely that the upcoming multiplayer showcase on July 31 will provide more details about the launch window.
EA did reveal the platforms - Battlefield 6 will launch on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
