Battlefield 6‘s next big seasonal update has received a release date. Developer Battlefield Studios announced that Season 4: Naval Warfare launches July 21, 2026, bringing the series‘ first big expedition into large-scale warfare fought on land, sea, and through the air.

Season 4 brings new maps, vehicles, weapons, and other gameplay features focused around naval combat to Battlefield 6. The update also comes alongside a new trailer that gives players their first good look at what Season 4 will offer when it launches.

Battlefield 6 Season 4 Release Date and Features 

Season 4 arrives July 21st with some huge additions:

  • Wave physics impacting naval gameplay 
  • Boats, ships, new military vehicles 
  • New weapons and gadgets 
  • Massive combined-arms battles on land, sea, and in the air

Season 4’s trailer starts off with players speeding across the ocean on speedboats dodging mines below. Wave physics will also play a big role impacting traversal and firing while out at sea.

This large-scale naval gameplay takes place on Season 4’s headline map Tsuru Reef. This large Battlefield map packs in miles of coastline, open water and multiple combat areas that are all connected by sea travel. Battles will take place both on foot with ground vehicles as well as the new additions from the sea.

Longtime Battlefield fans will be excited to see Wake Island return for Season 4. This Battlefield classic has been remade with next-gen visuals, an increased scale, upgraded destruction, and full naval gameplay support. We see warships hosting mortar cannons in the trailer and a new homing torpedo weapon that could make vehicle battles feel really different.
