Hogwarts Legacy developer have seemingly shut down the rumours about a new trailer in 2021.
Ever since we got the official reveal trailer back in September 2020, players have been waiting to hear more about WB games' Hogwarts Legacy, which is a brand new action RPG set in the beloved Harry Potter universe.
However, the publisher WB have skipped a lot of events in these last couple of months including the most recent The Game Awards where players expected to see the game in action once again. Rumours also suggested that WB could show Hogwarts Legacy by the end of 2021 but it seems that we will have a wait a bit longer for the new trailer.
In the latest tweet, the developer Avalanche confirmed that they will be sharing more news and updates in 2022, not before.
"Happy Holidays from the Avalanche team! We’re excited to share more news and updates on Hogwarts Legacy next year," they tweeted.
As someone pointed out in the replies, the next year starts in three weeks so it's not all doom and gloom for Harry Potter fans, at least not yet. But now that the team have openly said they will show more next year, we doubt WB plan to reveal a new trailer anytime soon. If the wording was different, then perhaps there would be some hope but to us, it doesn't seem like we'll see Hogwarts Legacy in the next few months.
Though this is just us speculating, it's entirely possible that we see the game in the first week of January 2022. Until WB games officially announce the date for the reveal, take everything you find online with a grain of salt.
Hogwarts Legacy is officially launching sometime in 2022 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
