A Director's Cut edition of Warner Bros's critically acclaimed Harry Potter RPG Hogwarts Legacy is in development, it's claimed in the latest report from a reliable industry insider and Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier.
Batman Arkham series and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League studio Rocksteady are helping Avalanche Software on this project, which is yet to be officially announced.
At the moment, the exact details about the Director's Cut edition of Hogwarts Legacy are pretty scarce. We don't know much about the new content that Warner Bros. plan to introduce with this release.
However, Director's Cut versions usually include expanded storyline, new quests, game modes and sometimes even DLC. For example, Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut included new cosmetics, an art book, the Director's commentary, full expansion and more.
Unfortunately, we also don't know when exactly Hogwarts Legacy Director's Cut will be revealed or released but since this is not a full-fledged game, it's safe to assume that we should be hearing about it in the coming months, perhaps even earlier, at one of the big shows during Summer Game Fest.
Hogwarts Legacy Director's Cut certainly does not come as a surprise since Hogwarts Legacy was the best-selling game of 2023, beating the likes of Call of Duty, Madden NFL, EA Sports FC (formerly FIFA) and other heavy hitters who usually take the top spot.
It's also safe to assume that Warner Bros. have already greenlit a sequel to this globally popular action adventure RPG. Personally, I can't wait to see that and will surely dive into whatever Director's Cut has to offer. I found Hogwarts Legacy to be such a chill game, perfect for exploration and simply a nice relaxing gaming session.
Hogwarts Legacy recently introduced a new update, bringing Photo Mode and some new cosmetics to players so this is a perfect opportunity to hop in once again and check out the gorgeous world before the Director's Cut releases.
