Today we have some brand new information on how exactly the seasons mechanic will change in Ubisoft's upcoming action-adventure Assassin's Creed Shadows thanks to Assassin's Creed content creator JorRaptor.
As expected, the seasons will change dynamically in the game, meaning they won't change after players reach a specific part in the story, which was the case with Hogwarts Legacy for example.
The seasons will change dynamically based on your playthrough so it will be entirely possible that the game switches from summer to autumn even if you didn't make any progress in the story.
One thing that some players might find a bit disappointing is the fact that you won't be able to switch between seasons or times of day.
In previous Assassin's Creed games, players had the option to switch between day and night but it looks like that won't be the case in the upcoming Shadows, even if you sleep or meditate.
While this won't be convenient for players who often switch between day and night it's certainly more realistic and could prove to be more immersive too if done right.
JorRaptor also reported on some other features that are not necessarily connected to the seasonal changes such as romances. Apparently, both Yasuke and Naoe will have a unique romantic relationship in the game which suggests Ubisoft won't have the same romance for both characters.
