With Title Update 1.0.5, Ubisoft has delivered numerous mechanical enhancements, bug corrections and quality-of-life improvements for Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Headline grabbing Dead by Daylight crossover content aside, some fans view the enhanced parkour mechanics and improved Photo Mode as the main attractions.
This update resolves several issues which the community reported about rooftop movement mechanics and environmental interaction. The new update lets players latch onto ledges and awnings without vertical wall-runs to improve movement fluidity during fast-paced sequences. The Photo Mode received significant enhancements on PC which provided content creators with increased visual control.
Smoother Parkour and Enhanced Mobility
The parkour movement system received significant enhancements from Ubisoft with Title Update 1.0.5 which defines the Assassin’s Creed series. Players have the ability to keep sprinting speed during parkour activities when they continually press the movement input.
This enhancement ensures that chase scenes and navigation remain smooth without unwanted interruptions and transitions.
The enhancements feature better side and back eject distances and fresh animations which result in more responsive wall jumps and evasive maneuvers. The improvements to stealth infiltration and rooftop escapes now match what players expect from the series.
Photo Mode Gets More Creative Tools
Players can now fully customize in-game screenshots via Photo Mode which features time-of-day adjustments and music playback together with a headgear toggle option. The exclusive fullscreen mode offered to PC players ensures they can take continuous and immersive screenshots without interruptions.

- The update resolved multiple quest bugs that stopped players from finishing important story missions including “Diary of Lady Rokkaku,” “Wake Up Call,” and “Missing Missive.”
- The game developers modified the Mon currency system to motivate players to explore the world beyond merchant interactions.
- Developers resolved problems with combat engraving bugs together with NPC glitches and mount placement issues while fixing hideout interaction problems and correcting visual inconsistencies.
- The Xbox Series X now supports Balanced Performance Mode for high-refresh-rate monitors and resolves mouse and keyboard input problems.
What’s Next for Assassin’s Creed Shadows?
Ubisoft has announced that June will see the release of the next major Title Update which will include the highly desired open-world alarm system alongside difficulty settings and additional balance modifications.
The Claws of Awaji expansion is set to release later this year while fan excitement grows due to persistent rumors about a co-op mode called “LEAGUE” scheduled for 2026 release.
