Not long after Bloodhound's The Old Ways lore trailer aired, Respawn spilt the beans on what awaits Apex Legends fans in April. So, the new Bloodhound Town Takeover, The Old Ways Event, permanent Duos and map rotation.
First and foremost, and this should please a large part of the community, starting on 7 April 2020, Apex Legends is getting Duos as well as Kings Canyon as permanent additions, the latter via a permanent map rotation.
The date 7 April isn't coincidental though, as this is the day Respawn are launching The Old Ways Lore Event, which comes with the following:
- New Town Takeover - Bloodhound’s Trials
- Exclusive Event Prize Track
- Direct Purchase Shop
- New Event Limited Cosmetics
- Return of Legendary Hunt Skins
Yet another thing that wasn't coincidental was the dead Prowler that was teased as these Titanfall beasts will now be visiting Apex Legends via the new Town Takeover - Bloodhound's Trials.
"Dive into Bloodhound’s Trials, where you and your squad battle against a hoard of prowlers and claim high-tier loot as your reward. But beware the most dangerous game: fellow Legends who want to scavenge those goods for themselves. In moments of quiet, don’t forget to explore the enclosure, especially with a certain hunter at your side", the dev wrote in the description.
Much like the events before, The Old Ways comes with its own progression that lets you complete challenges and earn exclusive cosmetics, many of them hunter-flavoured. In fact, you can already check out some of the data mined Charms here .
Apex Legends is also getting exclusive tie-in skins to the Direct Purchase Shop, with the schedule provided below:
Lastly, The Old Ways Event is a chance for Apex Legends players to get a hold of the Legendary Hunt Skins. Respawn said that all eight of them, in addition to the two recoloured variants of the Wraith and R-301 skins that were exclusive to battle pass owners, will be there.
