Apex Legends players who have been following data mining of their favourite battle royale know that Bloodhound is next in line for a Town Takeover event. The first tease pointed at today, and Respawn indeed delivered.
It's nothing spectacular, as teasers are supposed to be, and if you go to the sniper mountain to the west of Skyhook, you'll find a dead Prowler, the Titanfall beast whose addition to Apex Legends has been rumoured for the longest time.
Now, the area is quite populated thanks to Apex Players dropping in numbers to take a look. Thanks to the renewed interest in the locale, our attempts to take screenshot mostly ended up very dead, so we've kindly borrowed a Twitter sample from prominent Apex Legends data miner Shrugtal.
We can only assume that this area is next in line for a cosmetic overhaul, just like in Town Takeover events that happened earlier. Then again, we wouldn't put it past Respawn to be trying to throw everyone off the scent, as they've invested quite some effort to keep data miners guessing.
Apex Legends' last event of this type was with Mirage, which came with a luxury cruise and everything, culminating with the button-pushing bonanza of all things Mirage.
Bloodhound's Town Takeover, on the other hand, promises to be a much bloodier affair, at least if the Prowler hints are to be believed.
Respawn recently added detailed models of Prowlers, several colour schemes and a number of animations as well. The latter show Prowlers running, stalking and even backing away from danger, so it's safe to assume they'll be in-game.
Apex Legends is certainly due for a content refresh, and it's probably perfect timing, now that the Warzone hype subsided a bit.
