Throne and Liberty release window was announced recently, offering a preview into the features the game will offer.

MMORPG s usually take a long time to develop so it's not quite clear when Throne and Liberty started its cycle but NCSoft announced the game would release in the first half of 2023.

Considering the short span between the announcement and supposed release, it's highly probably the game was in development for a long time out of wider public's eyes.

In any case, the theme for this MMO seems to be "Play for all", meaning both the casual and hardcore players should find something of interest, as well as this interested in PvE or PvP.

Additionally, there will be no hard-baked classes in Throne and Liberty, meaning the game will allow one character to assume any class, depending on what weapon they have equipped.

The system sounds the same as that in New World and while it eliminates the need for alts, it is not always a good thing, especially for immersion.

Throne and Liberty will release on PC and consoles but it's not clearly stated whether it will support the older generation, namely PS4 and Xbox One. However, the game will be available for streaming on mobile devices, which begs the uncomfortable questions about monetisation and that is a topic the dev video didn't really touch upon.
