Are you looking to save up on game purchases in 2023 or empty out your wallet? In either case, here is a full list of sales and Steam fests for the year.
Valve recently had a leak where the entire list of Steam sale and fest dates got to be known to the public.
As such, gamers can now plan for the big sales but also keep an eye out for demos that may serve as a way to make an educated purchase.
Keep in mind that some of the fests do not necessarily feature demos but we will bold the names and dates of those that do.
Steam sales in 2023
- Spring Sale, March 16 to 23
- Summer Sale, June 29 to July 13
- Autumn Sale, November 21 to 28
- Winter Sale, December 21 to January 4, 2024

- Mystery Fest, February 20 to 27
- Puzzle Fest, April 24 to May 1
- Sports Fest, May 15 to 22
- Next Fest, June 19 to 26
- Stealth Fest, July 24 to 31
- Visual Novel Fest, August 7 to 14
- Strategy Fest, August 28 to September 4
- SHMUP Fest, September 25 to October 2
- Next Fest, October 9 to 16
- Return of Steam Scream Fest, October 26 to November 2
Next Fest is more focused on demos while the rest of them often feature deep sales and as you can see, the commonly known Halloween Sale will now take the format of a Fest instead.
In case SHMUP sounds weird to a reader or two, it refers to Shoot 'em Up games so count on shooters all around in early to mid-October this year.
