Gears of War made its way into Wasteland 3 with an assault rifle that is fairly good all-around but not necessarily the best in all situations. This guide should lead you straight to it.

inXile Entertainment released a Wasteland 3 patch on PC that fixed many bugs that were frequently reported in the launch week, including the Fishlips encounter that would break the game.

Wasteland 3 co-op will not have crossplay

Co-op multiplayer in Wasteland 3 will not feature Xbox One and PC crossplay but that is the only bit of bad news as the rest sounds rather flexible, which is a good thing.

Wasteland 3 has gone through its second major release date delay as inXile Entertainment announced that the remote work caused issues with the studio's schedules and the release date is now set for 28 August 2020

Wasteland 3 backer beta is now live

Microsoft and inXile Entertainment have announced that Wasteland 3 backer beta is now live. Bug hunting and post-apocalyptic Colorado are both available with some handy tools for the testers.

MARCH 17

Wasteland Remastered release date announced

Wasteland Remastered is coming to PC across several stores simultaneously as well as to Xbox One in February 2020. This is the perfect opportunity for those who didn't play the original but wished to relive the lore that is frequently mentioned in Wasteland 2.

JANUARY 23

Bard's Tale IV is no longer compatible with Windows 7 apparently

Windows 7 official support ended recently and inXile Entertainment are now pushing Bard's Tale IV players to install Windows 10 apparently. Considering it was originally playable in Windows 7, players are not liking the minimum system requirements change.

JANUARY 21

Wasteland 3 release date set for May 2020

Inside Xbox 2019 featured a new trailer for Wasteland 3, this time around in a much more appealing fashion for the fans. As a cherry on top, it revealed the frozen Colorado wastes will be open for business on 19 May 2019.

NOVEMBER 15

Wasteland 3 will have dozens of different endings

Brian Fargo revealed some more information regarding Microsoft's acquisition of inXile Entertainment, including the increased staff number and how Wasteland 3 will benefit from it. For example, the game will have a pile of different endings.

SEPTEMBER 24

Wasteland 3 is streamlining skill trees

Wasteland and Wasteland 2 fans may not be happy about streamlining that takes place in weapon and other skill systems with Wasteland 3. On the other hand, we have only seen a small section of gameplay and it might be too early to judge.

Wasteland 3 gets a proper Gamescom trailer

Wasteland 3 gave fans a scare during E3 2019 with a trailer that didn't fit the franchise's tone but the Gamescom trailer proved there was nothing to be afraid about. Thankfully, it features Scotchmo in a much smaller capacity this time.

Wasteland 3 is not actually that goofy

Wasteland 3 is highly anticipated but the trailer from E3 2019 suggested the game would leave its grim roots in favour of a goofy tone. It wasn't received well and Brian Fargo recently confirmed the game would stay true to its origins.

Wasteland 3 Alpha build coming soon

Wasteland 3 was originally slated for a 2019 release but some setbacks and Microsoft acquisition probably contributed to the 2020 delay. We will, however, get a lot more info and some fans will get to play it as soon as 21 August 2019.

Wasteland 3 will have co-op but no PvP

InXile Entertainment are taking notes from Larian apparently since Wasteland 3 will feature co-op multiplayer after the latter's turn-based RPG series, Divinity: Original Sin, successfully integrated the feature. It has no PvP though.

Wasteland 3 trailer looks a bit off

Wasteland 3 development has been under radio silence for a while. That silence was broken by inXile Entertainment and Microsoft during Xbox Press Conference at E3 2019 where a rather weird and extremely colourful trailer popped up.

JUNE 10

Wasteland 3 will not be a timed Epic Games Store exclusive

Wasteland 3 fans are still worried that the game will be a timed exclusive on Epic Games Store for some reason even though inXile Entertainment confirmed they will deliver it to all storefronts on release day, including DRM-free GOG.

Wasteland remaster is in the works by inXile

inXile Entertainment are now officially working on a remake or a remaster of sorts for the game that started the whole post-nuclear-apocalypse trend in gaming - Wasteland. The game came out 30 years ago, which makes the timing fitting.

Bard's Tale 4 patch brings permadeath

inXile Entertainment have released a new update for dungeon crawler Bard's Tale 4 dubbed Second Sight. The patch is live now and it brings some much-needed improvements like manual save and character respec along with various bug fixes.

Fans of Wasteland and Bard's Tale series were worried whether the newest instalments would come to PlayStation 4 due to Microsoft acquiring inXile Entertainment, as many expected them to become exclusives. This will not be the case.

Brian Fargo might buy Interplay soon

Brian Fargo has expressed his wish to buy Interplay back and has sent fans into a frenzy consisting of wet dreams and theory crafting. It comes with a hitch though, as he will only attempt to purchase it if Bard's Tale IV sells well enough.

SEPTEMBER 18

Wasteland 2 release date for Switch

Wasteland 2: Director's Cut is coming to Nintendo Switch on 13 September 2018, as announced by inXile Entertainment. The Nintendo Switch port was initially revealed in December 2017, and it is set to be released exactly nine months later.
