With the hype came a player surge and login queues but once you get in, you may start wondering how to play the new content.
Elysian Wilds is completely walled off and if you do stumble upon the gate, you can't cross it because something is missing. That something is obtained in the related main story quest.
In order to enter Elysian Wilds, you will first need to pick up and complete the new main story quest which is located in Caliburne Hamlet. This is the fancy name of the outpost in Edengrove, which also received a visual overhaul as it now sports rudimentary Nordic huts and buildings.
Go there, pick up the quest and you will be tasked with killing a few Angry Earth in a nearby area. They will drop quest items so don't forget to loot them.
Once you pick up enough of the quest items, you will need to brew a potion which you then need to drink. It will allow you to pass through the spore mist at the Elysian Wilds gate, letting you enter the zone.
If you don't know where the gate is located, just follow the quest marker, it will lead you directly to the entrance.
