Warhorse Studios, the creators of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, have meticulously perfected every detail in the game, delivering one of the most immersive experiences you'll ever encounter—and that's no exaggeration.
Appart from the unmatched immersion, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a very realistic game where all the actions have consequences, so if you choose to do something illegal, there's a great chance it will come around right at you, just as it would happen in real life.
Therefore, if you choose to steal or rob people blind, even if no one saw you, the items you stole will be marked as stolen, and if you try to sell them, not only the merchants will refuse to buy them, but they might report you, and you might end up in pillory or worse.
However, there is a way to sell the stolen items, and if you don't know how, we have a guide that will show you how to do it.
Stolen items explained
Once you steal an item, you'll notice the red hand sign in your inventory near that particular item, notifying you that's the stolen item. You can equip stolen items, but if you do that near the same place you've committed the crime, people will notice it and report you to the guards.
Not only that, you'll have to pay a fine, which can be quite severe depending on the amount you stole. The guards will also search you and confiscate the stolen stuff. And as a cherry on top, you'll lose reputation, and people will remember you as a thief.
How to sell stolen items in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
The best way to handle stolen items is to sell them, obviously. That's why we're stealing in the first place. Before that, we suggest you put the stolen goodies in your chest that is located next to your bed (all your rooms share the content of your chest, so do not worry; once you put something in the chest, you'll find it in all the locations).
Once you put stolen items in your chest, all you have to do is leave them there for some time until the red hand and stolen status disappears. There are several perks you can activate to accelerate this process.
However, if you dont want to wait, you can find two merchants in both in-game regions who are willing to buy stolen items off of you with no questions asked. In the first region, it is the Lower Semine's miller, Kreyzl. Kreyzl is one of the quest givers during the Wedding Crashers quest.
For the Kuttenberg region merchant, you'll have to go inside Devil's Den. This is the inn located to the north—you'll discover it very early in this region as part of the main quest you can tackle as soon as you visit this area for the first time. Speak with the inn owner and enquire about his business. He will eventually confess that he does some shady stuff here and there, and he will buy off all your stolen items if you're willing to sell them.
