Mimic Tear Ashes is one of the strongest ashes in Elden Ring, allowing the player to summon a lesser version of himself to the battle.
Mimic Tear Ashes is not obtainable early in the game since you'll have to kill one of the toughest bosses to access the locations where Mimic Tear Ashes is found. Since finding Mimic Tear Ashes can be a complicated process, we've made a guide to help you on this search for this powerful item that can make the game a lot easier for you.
Beating Starscourge Radahn
To "unlock" the location that is the home of Mimic Tear Ashes, you must beat Starscourge Radahn in Caelid. Beating Radahn is no easy task even with all the summons so we suggest you go there well prepared and geared up.
Once you beat Radahn, a star will fall in south Mistwood. Go there and you'll spot a massive disruption in the land. There's a path that leads down the hole so look carefully for it before simply jumping down to your death.
Getting to Nokron, the Eternal City
Now, just keep following the path down until you reach Nokron, the Eternal City grace site. It won't take long.
Once you're there, continue through the gate on your right, as you can see in the screenshot below.
Beating the Mimic Tear boss
A gorgeous view awaits you as you go down the stairs. Head towards the ruins where you'll fight the Mimic Tear boss (you). Once you beat the boss, and restore the Grace Site, cross the bridge. Use your mount, since the bridge is quite long.
Now that you're almost at the end of the bridge, you'll notice a large open area on your left. It's time to head down and follow the stone road until you see the first singer lady that is casting magic.
Then, make a turn left and another left through a tiny passage where you'll find a hidden site of grace. Once you are at the grace, it's time to jump down from the ledge onto the roofs.
Time for jumping, more mimics + almost there
From the first roof you just landed on, jump on the next ledge and go right, following with another bigger jump to the next building.
If you did everything right so far, you should see a mimic enemy with a crossbow. You can lure the enemy to the ledge by simply getting out of its reach which will result in the enemy falling from the ledge to its death.
Now, jump on the dome and jump to the area where the crossbow mimic was before they died. There, another mimic will spawn so beat it and head left towards the ledge. From there, cross the ruined bridge and climb on the ledge to enter the church.
From there, drop down and you'll see a large tomb/altar with two statues. On the right side of the room, you'll notice a hallway. Take it and you'll spot a fog door that requires two Swordstone keys.
Open the door, backstab the enemy at the end of the hallway and open the chest. You should now be a proud owner of the Mimic Tear Ashes. Well done!
