Blaidd is one of the NPCs you meet very early in Elden Ring, as soon as you enter Mistwood. Here's how you can complete his quest, and receive his armour and greatsword.
Blaidd is one of our favourite characters in Elden Ring and his questline is somewhat tragic, which is why we like him and feel sorry for him at the same time. You meet this wolf very early in the game, in the Mistwood area but it's not that straightforward and you'll definitely need a couple of hints to complete this one.
So, if you want to complete Blaidd's questline, read on below.
How to complete Blaidd's questline in Elden Ring?
- As you get to Mistwood, you will hear a sound of a wolf howling. You can then return to Merchant Kale for more info on the wolf howling.
- You'll get the Finger Snap gesture that you need to use in Mistwood when you hear the howling to summon Blaidd.
- Blaidd will then tell you about Darriwil. You can find and fight Darriwil in Forlorn Hound Evergoal, which is in the south part of Limgrave, right before you enter the Weeping Peninsula.
- Blaidd will be at Forlorn Hound Evergoal as a summon. You can then talk to him until you exhaust his dialogue. He will mention a blacksmith that you need to talk to.
- The blacksmith's name is Iji, he's a giant located in the north-western part of Liurnia of the Lakes, just as you pass Northern Liurnia Lake Shore and just by the Kingsrealm Ruins.
- Talk to Iji and mention that Blaidd sent you to unlock Carian Filigreed Crest in his shop.
Blaidd's role in Ranni's Questline

- After you meet Ranni very early in the game and later on start her quest in Liurnia, you must meet Blaidd at Siofra River, the underground area. Blaidd will be waiting at the edge of the cliff near the Siofra River Bank grace (just head straight and follow the cliff).
- Blaidd will ask you to talk to Seluvis who will ask you to speak to Sellen.
- After you talk to Sorceress Sellen, return to Blaidd in Siofra River. He'll tell you to meet him at Redmane Castle in Caelid.
- Go there and you'll find Blaidd inside the castle. Talk to him and then talk to Jerren to start the festival.
- Beat Starscourge Radahn. Blaidd will be one of the summons for this fight.
- After beating Radahn, a star will fall in Mistwood and Blaidd will tell you to meet him there.
- He will be at Forlorn Hound Evergoal, trapped. Set him free and he'll tell you that he's off to see Ranni.
- You can then proceed to complete Ranni's questline step by step.
- Once you receive the Dark Moon Greatsword, you can go back to Ranni's Rise where you'll find Blaidd who will attack you.
- Defeat him to get his Greatsword and armour set.
