Abyss Without Balance is the first mission in Crimson Desert in which you'll get some special powers, but you'll be prompted to solve some environmental puzzles as well. Here is how to complete this mission.

Upon finding your way inside Hernand Castle in Crimson Desert, you'll be introduced to the Abyss for the first time, and this introduction will mean getting some new superpowers but also solving a couple of environmental puzzles that can get quite confusing and difficult, since this action RPG from Pearl Abyss doesn't seem to be holding your hand through your gameplay at all.

Although you'll get some vague descriptions of what to do to solve those puzzles, there is a huge possibility you won't know how to do those tasks. If solving those puzzles is a mystery to you, here is how to do it.

Solving the Puzzle Before Entering the Building

This puzzle isn't that hard, to be honest; the ones that might confuse you are those that come after entering the building. However, if you don't know what to do before you can enter the building, here is the solution. Employ newly gained power called 'Axiom Force' by holding the L3/LS button (PlayStation/Xbox controller) and aim towards two blocks to the right of a big door.

The game will lead you there as part of the tutorial, so this part is quite unmissable. Once you stick the cord to one of the blocks using Axiom Force, turn it with L2/LT or R2/RT to let the energy flow through it. Repeat the process with another block, and once the energy reaches the second cube to the right of the door, the door will open.

How to Reach the Second Puzzle

After speaking with Alustin, you'll be prompted to cross the skybridge without too much explanation on how to do it. Pass through the triangle gate, and you'll see a pillar in front of you. Use Axiom Force to stick the cord to it and use any of the D-pad buttons to rotate it. Once the pillar reaches the desired position, it will glow, and you won't be able to interact with it anymore.

Activating the pillar will activate the skybridge, and to reach its end and access the second puzzle, you'll have to do a bit of parkour by jumping from one floating platform to the other.

The Final Puzzle

Once you reach the other side of the skybridge, you'll immediately get the new objective to 'Remove the Wall Blocking the Floor', and this one can actually be quite confusing; I must be honest. To do this, you're going to have to pick up the blue floating cube and pull it using Axiom Force to the point where another cube (the white one) is lit by a nearby light source (replicate the scenario from the device on the left).

After doing that, you'll get another objective to synthesise the Abyss cell. To do that, jump down into the hole and look for a device floating in the air. Observe the hologram there by holding the L1/LB once prompted to learn the new ability, Force Palm.

Now, grab the floating device with Axiom Force, put it near the wall where it is supposed to be plugged in, and use Force Palm to stick it into place. This will solve this part of the puzzle. To finish the rest, climb out of the hole; climb on the newly powered disc-like device; and once you're in the middle of it, hit it with Force Palm. Doing this will trigger a cutscene and bring this quest to an end.
