Arrows in Crimson Desert can be crafted at any smithy, rather than relying solely on merchant stock. The process is straightforward, but it pays to do a couple of faction quests first before making the trip, as they'll set you up with the right materials, tools, and extra inventory space to make the whole thing worth the effort.
Step 1: Complete Rhett's Request and Turnali's Request first
Before heading to the smithy, it's worth finishing both Rhett's Request and Turnali's Request from the Hernand Commissions faction quests. Both quests will reward you with a medium bag each, adding three inventory slots and teaching you how to gather the two materials you'll need for crafting: timber and iron ore. Rhett's quest, in particular, will get you acquainted with mining iron ore, and you'll come away with a pickaxe to do it yourself going forward.
Timber can be gathered by cutting down the trees with the axe provided by Turnali during his request. Having a comfortable supply of both before you visit the smithy saves you an extra round trip.
Step 2: Find the smithy in Hernand
The smithy is located in Hernand, the first major town in the game. Open your map, switch to the Environment tab, and look for the Smithy marker in the centre of Hernand Town. The smith there is Turnali, the same NPC from the faction quest, which is another reason to finish his request first. His location is marked on the map alongside other vendors and points of interest in the town.
Step 3: Craft your arrows
Speak to Turnali and select Crafting from his menu. In the crafting screen, you'll find arrows listed alongside bullets, with the materials required shown on the right. A single production run yields 30 arrows and requires 5 pieces of timber and 1 piece of iron ore. If the materials are showing red, you don't have enough on hand and will need to gather more before the option becomes available.
Step 4: Craft poison arrows
Poison arrows are also craftable at the smithy, but the recipe isn't available by default. You'll need to purchase it first from the Back Alley Shop, which is located southeast of Hernand. Once you have the recipe, it will appear in Turnali's crafting menu alongside the standard options. The recipe itself is quite expensive at the start of the game when you're pretty much broke. It costs 10 pieces of silver, but the investment definitely pays off.
Step 5: Make fire arrows
Fire arrows don't require the smithy at all. Hold any regular arrows near an open flame, such as a torch, brazier, or similar heat source, and they'll ignite automatically. It's a quick way to add fire damage without spending any extra materials or coin.
