Among the many collectibles in Alan Wake 2, Remedy's latest horror, are the optional weapons you will be able to find throughout the game.
The first one you'll stumble upon is the sawn-off shotgun located inside the general store in Cauldron Lake, but only accessible once you visit this area for the second time. This weapon is protected by the combination padlock and the hint on how to find the right combination.

How to get the sawn-off shotgun in general store
Once you part ways with Casey and progress to the general store, a monster will appear in your path as part of the story. After defeating it and obtaining the heart from the fridge, you'll notice a sawed-off shotgun displayed at the far end of the room, secured behind glass. The display is protected by a three-number combination padlock.
Next to the padlock, you'll find a note providing a clue to the correct combination, directing you to examine the general store counter. Head over to the counter and inspect the notes placed there. One of the notes contains various previous combinations along with a lottery ticket. Given the reference to Lady Fortuna in the sawed-off shotgun hint, it becomes evident that this ticket holds the key.
Since all the prior combinations featured seven as a fortunate number alongside a two-digit combination from the lottery ticket, the next combination in line is: seven, three, nine. Input this combination into the padlock to open the display and claim your sawed-off shotgun. Along with the weapon, as a reward, you'll also earn the "Bring It" trophy/achievement.
