How to expand the inventory in Alan Wake 2
For those acquainted with the Resident Evil games, the inventory upgrade system in Alan Wake 2 closely resembles the one found in these renowned titles.
However, there is a distinction in the process of upgrading Alan's and Saga's inventories, which aligns with the evolving dynamics of the game as you switch between characters. Saga enlarges her inventory by discovering suitable bags within the game world that effectively expand her carrying capacity, a concept reminiscent of what we've previously witnessed in Resident Evil.
You'll encounter the initial two upgrade pouches quite early in the game, within the Cauldron Lake level. One is located in the General Store in close proximity to where you can acquire the sawn-off shotgun, while the other can be found hidden in a secret stash on the right-hand side shortly after your initial encounter with Alan Wake, following the fight with Nightingale.
For Alan's inventory upgrades, you'll harness the power of special abilities known as "Words of Power," found throughout the Dark Place. Notably, one such ability is found above the bar within the ballroom of the Oceanview Hotel. This specific Word of Power will allow you to enhance Alan's inventory.
