Secret stashes in Alan Wake 2, the latest Remedy Entertainment's horror, are scattered all over the game's levels, and once you find them and reveal their content, you will be rewarded with valuable loot.
Apart from the loot you'll get, finding each new stash will bring you closer to solving the special case file connected to those cashes and the people responsible for putting them all around.
The puzzle behind the stash located in Streamside, just next to the private cabin, can be very complicated to solve, especially because of the one very well-hidden number location. If solving this puzzle is giving you trouble, check out the solution we've prepared for you in this guide.
How to open secret stash near private cabin
Head down the path from the private cabin and follow the creek downstream; on the landslide, just beneath the private cabin, you'll find the secret stash, secured by the three-digit padlock, with the note saying, Rock, rock, tree, are you bright enough?
To reveal the right code for the padlock, you will have to use the flashlight and search for the digits engraved on the tree and two different rocks. As the note suggests, the first two codes must be the ones you'll find written on nearby rocks, and the last one should be the one from the tree.
One rock code is written exactly above the stash, and once you turn your flashlight on, besides the clearly visible number three, it will reveal one more number three with a plus, suggesting the correct number is number six. The next digit is located down by the creek, and it says seven minus two, which clearly is the number five. The last number is located on a tree to the left of the stash, indicating number eight in the form of six plus two.
Now, it's time to determine the right order of the digits. The right combination is 5-6-8, following the instructions from the note written on the stash. Once you open the stash, you'll find some supplies, along with the cult's message: "Are you one of us or one of them?"
