Diablo II: Resurrected enters single-player technical alpha this weekend - Thursday, April 8, at 10:00 AM (PT), 07:00 PM (CET) - for select community members. On April 9, the test will open wider to select players.

Today, Blizzard Entertainment revealed the first details about Diablo II: Resurrected alpha tests that are scheduled to start this week. In the official announcement , Blizzard state that the single-player technical alpha kicks off tomorrow - Thursday, April 8, 2021, at 10:00 AM (PT), 07:00 PM (CET) for a smaller circle of community members.

Then, a day after the early alpha access on April 9, 2021, the test will open to a wider selection of players who opted in as this initial playtest continues through the weekend. If you applied for the technical alpha test but did not get an email from Blizzard regarding the participation, you can still get access to the alpha by following the game on Twitch and YouTube, where Blizzard seemingly plan to drop some alpha keys.

Furthermore, the publisher states they will have one more alpha test later so even if you missed both of the abovementioned tests, there's still a chance that you get that invite from Blizzard.

  • Start and End date: Thursday, April 8 to Monday, April 12, 2021.
  • Platforms: PC
  • Playable classes: Amazon, Barbarian, Sorceress
  • Playable acts:  Acts I and II.

The publisher also reiterated that Diablo II will feature multiplayer but for the scope of this test, the devs want to focus on early game systems, the three playable classes, and client performance data. The three playable classes that you'll get to try in the alpha are Amazon, Barbarian and Sorceress.
