According to the latest rumours, Activision are readying to reveal their next Call of Duty game pretty soon. Several NFL athletes posted photos from a sponsored Call of Duty event, confirming that they played the next Call of Duty title.
Next Call of Duty game has been subject of many leaks and rumours in the last couple of months. First, we got reports about the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remaster, which got an official rating on the PEGI website.
Shortly after that, rumours started to surface about the next major game in the Call of Duty series. Apparently, Infinity Ward are working on the fourth instalment of Modern Warfare, which is scheduled to release in 2019.
According to the latest leak, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will not have a new campaign and will instead, feature a remaster of Modern Warfare 2 campaign. Whether this is true, remains to be seen but one thing is for certain, the new Call of Duty game reveal is almost upon us.
This is according to several NFL athletes, who attended Activision's and Infinity Ward's Call of Duty event, held earlier this week. Tajae Sharpe, Jacques Patrick, Riley Ridley, and N’Keal Henry posted photos on Instagram and Twitter with Call of Duty partner hashtag.
They also had the opportunity to play the new game, but of course, they did not say the subtitle, and in most of the photos, only Call of Duty logo can be seen. With these types of events already taking place, the new Call of Duty is surely on its way to release in 2019.
Whether the rumours are indeed true, and the next Call of Duty is Modern Warfare 4 it remains to be seen but it shouldn't take long before Activision officially confirm it. New Call of Duty games are traditionally announced in late April or May, and we're right in the reveal window, meaning that the announcement could be imminent.
