According to the datamine from a Twitter user named NWPlayer123, NetherRealm's upcoming fighter could feature 13 DLC characters. The files were datamined from the Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition that is available on Nintendo's console.

Less than two weeks are remaining before we finally get our hands on NetherRealm's fighter Mortal Kombat 11. Earlier this month, we got a lot of new info about the game, and as the release date is inching closer, more and more details about the game's roster, stages and other features are starting to surface.

NetherRealm are yet to confirm a lot of these details, for example, the final roster is yet to be revealed just like the stages, and not a word has been said about the DLC characters either - apart from Shang Tsung.

However, the latest datamine from Twitter user NWPlayer123 reveals that Mortal Kombat 11 could add 13 new characters in post-launch DLC. The dataminer dug around Switch's version of Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition and it turns out that she uncovered the list that features 13 slots with release date placeholders.

NetherRealm previously confirmed that the first Kombat Pack, which is Mortal Kombat 11's fancy name for the Season Pass, will add six new characters.

Piecing the clues together and it looks like that Mortal Kombat 11 could have two season passes with six new fighters each. Of course, this is just a pure guess, based on the datamined files and previous info from the devs.

The previous instalment in the series, Mortal Kombat X had 9 DLC characters including Goro who was available to those who pre-ordered the game. It's unclear if Shao Khan, who is Mortal Kombat 11's pre-order bonus is included in the list of DLC characters or one of the season passes.

As for the actual fighters and who they might be, well, Spawn and Shaggy are the only two characters mentioned as guest appearances. Given that NetherRealm made it clear that Scooby Doo goofball will never appear in Mortal Kombat 11, that leaves us with Spawn, a comic book character that was also rumoured for Mortal Kombat XL.
