NetherRealm Studios have rolled out a patch for Mortal Kombat 11 on PlayStation 4 and while PC and Xbox One and Switch users have to wait longer, it comes with a free currency bundle with a bunch of Koins, Hearts, Souls and Time Crystals.
"Later this afternoon the Community Gift will be distributed via update for PS4 players that has 500,000 Koins, 1,000 Souls, 1,000 Time Crystals, 500 Hearts, as a thank you", the dev wrote on Reddit.
PlayStation 4 players can claim their gift by 06 May 2019, 8am CST / 6am PST, while PC, Xbox One and Switch owners will be getting them with their respective MK11 updates.
As for the update, it's mostly reserved for bug fixes, such as the one where you could pick more than one variation of a Mortal Kombat 11 fighter. However, going online resulted in PUBG levels of desync so NetherRealm patched it up.
Connection issues apparently caused a rare bug where a character variation would be saved with locked items, which has been addressed as well.
Also listed are move list and frame data corrections, integrated launch day server-side data, online matchmaking tweaks, AI adjustments, and more.
NetherRealm also tweaked Towers of Time, starting with the AI difficulty curve and continuing with health reductions of opponents in higher level Towers. Performing Fatal Blows while standing in active modifiers will no longer cause crashing.
Obviously, the company's aware of the grind-fest accusations being chucked about and they're increasing Koin rewards for Dragon Challenges and fights, Hearts rewards from Fatalities, Brutalities and Mercies.
Mortal Kombat 11's new update also adjusts several modifiers duration, "dramatically" increases cooldowns on Tag Assist modifiers, and now correctly sees some Gift/Curse modifiers as projectiles.
Disabler Konsumables will now work for all the intended modifiers and several had their targeting improved too.

Of course, we're still talking about PlayStation 4 patch for Mortal Kombat 11, so PC, Xbox One and Switch players will have to be patient.
