At this point, it's only a matter of time before we see the introduction of the L-Star to Apex Legends, as RealApexLeaks have visual proof of the gun being delivered to players. In fact, they claim the crashes had something to do with it.
You're probably aware of the recent trouble Respawn had Apex Legends servers, as their update apparently wiped progression on many accounts.
The developer moved relatively quickly to amend the situation, blaming the entire thing on a freak move to different servers that caused their progression to disappear once they've logged off.
"We shut down all live servers so we could remove players from the wrong place and roll up the correct servers with your progress. Once we confirmed internally that we had fixed the issue we started rolling out the right servers starting with Xbox and staggered the updates to PS4 and PC", the developer wrote.
RealApexLeaks, however, argue that the L-Star skins being delivered to players are the real reason behind everything and that Respawn did the wipe so as to prevent this.
For what it's worth, there are plenty of images of the L-Star online at the moment, which would suggest we're getting it soon anyway.
Of course, Respawn have fixed Apex Legends and if your account hasn't been reverted to normal, it probably will be, and soon.
As far as the L-Star goes, initial rumours claimed it uses legendary ammo but is an energy weapon.
That's the same leak that suggested Leviathans, those large beasts you keep trying to click on while dropping, will be strolling onto land.
The narrative seems to support this too, as the sensor towers on Apex Legends map are actually there to keep these beasts away. Once they're destroyed, we may even see fliers, which are said to be mountable and even used to shoot others.
Apex Legends has proven to be all the rage lately and even Brendan Greene extended his compliments on a game well done. He said that he wished more people made battle royales out of love, rather than to get a quick buck, citing Apex Legends as a prime example.
