Respawn Entertainment have released another update for Apex Legends that fixes a few bugs and adds some quality of life improvements. However, some players are reporting that their accounts have been reset after they updated the game.
Apex Legends latest update went live earlier today on all platforms. It's a minor patch that introduced a couple of quality of life additions and few bug fixes. However, the update is also causing headaches to some players who report that their accounts have been reset after they updated their game.
According to some Reddit and Twitter users, all items they have earned and the progress they have made until now have been completely wiped.
The good news is that Respawn confirmed they are aware of the issues and that they are looking into it right now. The developer also said that until the issue has been resolved, you shouldn't craft or buy anything. More information and updates are expected as the devs work on the fix.
As for the actual improvements and bug fixes that are included in the patch, the biggest addition is the last squad feature that allows you to party up with the last squad you played with.
After the match, you will see buttons in the lobby that display the last two people you played with. You can then use the feature to invite them to your squad and drop into the battle royale arena together.
Furthermore, Respawn added a mute button during the intro and Legend selection screens and worked on additional behind-the-scenes improvements for squashing cheaters.
Also, when using the Report Player option on PC, you will now have the option to select Cheat or Other as reasons for the report. For those of you that still experience crashes to the desktop without error report, Respawn added informative messages that appear for crashes due to running out of memory and overclocked or overheated CPU errors.
Respawn also added better collision to the turrets on Supply Ships and applied stability fixes on all platforms. The patch notes also list a few bug fixes and you can read more on that here.
