The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Geralt has finally arrived to Monster Hunter World in the latest crossover event. Starting today, players will get to experience a unique questline which will combine the best gameplay mechanics from both games.

The long-awaited crossover event that sees Geralt use a portal once again, despite his well-known disdain for them, is finally live in Monster Hunter World. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt event is available for free download on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One right now and the PC version will be a bit late, which is normal when it comes to Monster Hunter World updates.

While Capcom didn't want to share many details about the event and would rather let the players discover what's it all about, they have described it as a "unique experience" which blends "the RPG mechanics of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with Monster Hunter World's game systems."

It is known that you will get to play as Geralt who's been mysteriously teleported from his world. The quest will see players use Geralt's signature moves, potions and signs while he tries to uncover how and why did he end up in Monster Hunter universe.

According to the publisher Capcom, this collaboration has been developed closely with CDProjektRed and it also sees Geralt's original voice actor Dough Cockle return to provide his voice in The White Wolf's latest adventure.

Unfortunately, there is still no release date for PC version of the crossover event, we reckon it shouldn't take long before the master race gets to try it, as Capcom have previously promised they are working towards unifying console and PC schedules.

Geralt arrives to Monster Hunter World right in the middle of the Appreciation Fest which started on 26 January in celebration of Monster Hunter World's one year anniversary.

During the event, almost all previously released quests are available which is a great chance to pick up some specific items if you missed them in previous events. Appreciation Fest also brought special event quests which feature monsters such as The Greatest Jargas

The Appreciation Fest will run until 22 February 2019.
