Capcom have revealed the exact date when The Witcher's protagonist Geralt of Rivia is coming to Monster Hunter: World and we're looking at 08 February 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners, and a bit later for the master race.
When you think about it, Geralt and Monster Hunter: World are a match made in heaven, what with him already being a renowned monster hunter and all.
Granted, he may not feel exactly at home in Monster Hunter: World, since your Deviljhos and Behemoths surely won't be interested in catering to Geralt's romantic needs, but we guess he'll have to learn to cope with that in Capcom's world.
Speaking of Capcom's world, Geralt's Monster Hunter: World cameo will involve new quests, "blending the RPG mechanics of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with Monster Hunter: World's game systems to present a whole new gameplay experience to fans of both series."
We don't know the exact specifics of how Capcom will implement this but one thing is certain - Geralt's cameo is no mere skin. In fact, the company claims to have worked with CD Projekt Red for a while now, even recording the original actor, so as to make the event truly unique.
Unfortunately for PC owners, there's no word on when to expect Geralt's arrival in Monster Hunter: World's Steam edition, but Capcom have been making some efforts lately towards unifying console and PC schedules so we reckon it shouldn't be that long.
In fact, Monster Hunter: World's upcoming event, the Appreciation Fest, will take place on all available platforms simultaneously, starting on 26 January 2019.
The event will see "almost all previously released event quests will be made available, and there will even be some very special event quests, featuring monsters that have had a whole year to build up a grudge and are ready to unleash their frustration!"
