It appears that Red Dead Redemption 2's lengthy install times aren't the only thing plaguing the game as the Xbox One version's CD number two has been mysteriously refusing to work, or asking for CD number one and then doing the same.
First things first though, this doesn't seem to be an issue that's plaguing all Xbox users. The issue comes in two flavours, although the end result is the same - Red Dead Redemption 2's installation hangs half way.
The first type is when the game asks you to insert CD number two, only to stay like that and not respond when you do what it says. The second type actually asks for Red Dead Redemption 2's CD number one before reverting to the first type.
One user claims to have found a solution and although it doesn't seem to be particularly scientific, at least in my mind, a few other players testified it works. He says that turning an Xbox One won't do the trick alone, as it requires you to unplug the console and plug it back.
One Red Dead Redemption 2 player mentioned that he needed quite a few more attempts at this fix before making it work but apparently - it did work.
PlayStation 4 players haven't been without issues either, although their woes mostly stopped at lengthy install times. You've surely noticed a few memes floating around by now, even though Red Dead Redemption 2 owners don't seem to be finding them overly funny.
There have been reports of missing pelts, either for users dropping them or restarting, although we expect these to be sorted in the following days. Horses can also act a bit quirky when in camps, as you can see from the video here.
Of course, you should expect quite a few other quirks to surface, not least after Red Dead Redemption 2 players start abusing the heck out of the cheats that are already available. In case you've got an issue but you don't see it here, refer to Rockstar's bug, glitch and troubleshooting thread here.
