Kingdom Hearts 3 adds Monsters Inc.

Square Enix' Kingdom Hearts 3 will visit the world of Monsters Inc. and Tangled. Sora, Goofy and Donald end up transformed into monsters. Series creator Tetsuya Nomura teased that the final part of the game includes something he's "always wanted to do in Kingdom Hearts".

MH:W is Capcom's fastest selling game

Capcom seem to have struck gold with Monster Hunter World, which is now officially the company's fastest selling title with 6 million copies shipped. The game managed to hit 5 million only three days after it launched on 26 January 2018, and with the PC launch later this year, Capcom are living the dream.

Sunless Skies delayed due to poor performance

Failbetter Games's latest project, Sunless Skies, has been delayed. The new release date will be known sometime this month. The studio has had to lay off four members due to Sunless Skies' poor performance on Steam's Early Access.

CD Projekt Red is hiring Lighting Artists

CD Projekt Red has been very stingy when it comes to announcements for Cyberpunk 2077, but we recently got a taste of what the game will look like through a couple of job listings posted on the developer's Twitter page. The listings encourage Lighting Artists to apply for a job at the Polish studio.

Monster Hunter: World dominates the UK charts

Capcom's new RPG Monster Hunter: World is at the top of the UK sales charts for the second week in a row. The game is currently available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Dragon Ball Fighterz dropped from number two all the way down to number six.

FF XV Windows Edition's benchmark tool

Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition's release date is coming up in early March. In order to ensure people can run the game smoothly on day one, Square Enix released a new benchmark tool.

EA moves Anthem's release date to 2019

EA recently denied the rumours that Anthem was being delayed into 2019. The company then went and simply moved Anthem's release date because they didn't want it to clash with an upcoming Battlefield game. Bioware is still working of another Dragon Age title.

Monster Hunter: World's event quests

Capcom's Monster Hunter: World intends to carry on the tradition of event quests. The most recent game in the franchise will add a time requirement to its event quests. Monster Hunter: World's official page has shared the schedule for these quests.

JANUARY 26

Bioware is working on a new Dragon Age game

Mark Darrah, the executive producer of the Dragon Age franchise and Anthem, tweeted that both games are currently in development. The latter will be given a head start, said Darrah. We stil don't know if Anthem will sport EA's new microtransaction patent.

Monster Hunter: World barbecue in London

Capcom’s Monster Hunter: World will launch soon, so the developer decided to do something special to get the people talking. They've transformed London’s Flat Iron Square into a Monster Hunter Meat Shack that'll offer free food and beverages until 28 January.

Rust is leaving Early Access

Facepunch Studios' RPG - Rust is leaving Early Access. The developer will continue to update and improve the game with the help of a test server. After it launches, Rust will cost 75 percent more than it does now.

JANUARY 23

Cyberpunk 2077's soundtrack

CD Projekt Red is working with Brian Mantia and Melissa Reese in order to find the soundtrack that'll fit their upcoming RPG Cyberpunk 2077. Both have been members of the famous rock band Guns ‘N Roses. Cyberpunk 2077 will have 'music that has never been heard before'.

Monster Hunter: World′s day one patch

Capcom′s Monster Hunter: World is set to launch soon. The game will get a day one patch that is going to unlock the game′s online functionalities and iron out some of the launch day kinks.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT open beta

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT's open beta has one more character rotation left. This one will see the Crown Prince Noctis from Final Fantasy XV join the roster. The beta offers 3v3 ranked online matches and an offline single player mode.

Cyberpunk 2077 could be on its way to E3

CD Projekt Red's upcoming RPG could make an appearance at this year's E3. A Polish video game news site reported the rumour based on the information they acquired from two different sources. E3 2018 will take place from 12 until 14 June in Los Angeles.

BioWare won't use EA's new patent

EA has recently filed a patent for a matchmaking algorithm they hope will influence players when purchasing in-game items. Technical Design Director Brenon Holmes assured players BioWare will not add the divisive algorithm to their upcoming RPG - Anthem.

Does Anthem’s AI trick users into micro transactions?

Now we must admit that the timing of this supposed leak is incredibly convenient, as BioWare only recently decided against using EA’s matchmaking system in its upcoming game Anthem. The supposed leaks show ethically questionable marketing techniques and an included screenshot seems to indeed point at Anthem.
