Dark Souls: Remastered being ported to the Switch by L.A. Noire port devs

Dark Souls: Remastered Switch port will be handled by a China-based studio Virtuos. The studio has previously worked on porting the Switch version of L.A. Noire. QLOC - a Polish studio will take care of Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC versions.

Seems like Dark Souls: Remastered really is on its way to NIntendo's Switch. Better yet, it will be there in a little over three months' time.

New details about who might end up porting  the game over to the Switch continue to emerge, as we patiently pace around the room, cracking our knuckles and wishing time would just hurry up a bit. According to a listing on the Australian Classification Board, the development process has been entrusted to a China-based studio Virtuos.

Now, neither the developer nor publisher Bandai Namco have officially confirmed the news, but if people who deal with game ratings Down Under are to be trusted, this is definitely a reason to be excited. Virtuos studio has previously worked on porting the of L.A. Noire.

It is said that the Polish studio QLOC will be handling  the work on Dark Souls: Remastered instead of FromSoftware. They will be working on the versions of Dark Souls Remastered intended for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

The studio has some big names on their portfolio, such as: Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen PC, Dead Rising HD Remaster, Devil may Cry and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. In 2017, the studio worked on RiME PC and Xbox One versions as well as provided Polish translations and voiceovers for Prey.

According to the people that approve games for Austalian eyeballs, Dark Souls: Remastered has been classified as a MA 15+ game with "strong fantasy themes and violence". Date of calssification is said to be 14 Febrary 2018, and Virtuos is credited as the "author".

Dark Souls: Remastered should launch for the Switch on 25 May 2018.
