CD Projekt Red have confirmed that their highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 will indeed be coming to Steam. This decision will put many gamers' minds at ease, considering the recent growth of speculation about the game being a GOG exclusive.
This may not be coming as a surprise to some people, considering The Witcher 3 along with all of its expansions was already available on Steam. Despite this, some fans were growing restless since CD Projekt Red have grown into a household name and have the power to sell their future games exclusively on their own distribution platform.
However, in the presentation on the video above (starts at 3:15:58) Adam Kiciński and Piotr Nielubowicz have confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming to Steam, as to avoid alienating their fans.

Another reason why people could think Cyberpunk 2077 would be a GOG exclusive is Microsoft's recent decision to make Age of Empires: Definitive Edition a Microsoft Store exclusive. Then again, we are talking about two companies with highly different policies when it comes to the way they see their customer base.
Kiciński has also shed slightly little more light on Cyberpunk's potential, saying it will be like ''Witcher 3 but even more ambitious''. These ambitions should manifest themselves in hand crafted world spaces and open ended gameplay while still having a ''gamer-centric focus''. Technically, The Witcher 3 also had these traits but Cyberpunk 2077 may be looking to up the ante and usher a new era of game quality.

More tagible Cyberpunk 2077 info is still very scarce and highly sought after, but its rarity may drop in the coming months, leading up to E3.
