The game shipped 7.5 million units for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with Capcom breaking the news of the game having been played by upwards of 7 million players. This makes Monster Hunter: World Capcom's highest selling game so far.
At the same time, Monster Hunter: World marks the first time Capcom has simultaneously launched their title across the globe, something that has marred quite a few of their earlier releases. The company pointed out the game has managed to "overcome both linguistic and cultural barriers".

In the 14 years since launch, the Monster Hunter franchise has reached a total of 48 million copies sold, making it a serious cash cow for Capcom. With the PC launch slated for third or fourth quarter of 2018, Capcom has every reason to break out the bubbly.
The game has been rumoured to be in the works for Nintendo's Switch, although the likelihood of Monster Hunter: World launching for the platform by Capcom's Haruhiro Tsujimoto. In case you didn't catch it, Tsujimoto was pretty vague on the matter, albeit heavily leaning towards "no".

Monster Hunter: World's developers have already rolled out , with Horizon: Zero Dawn and Street Fighter armour sets of Aloy, Ryu and Sakura, respectively, already available. We've already , scoring it at 8/10.
