Doom VFR now works with Oculus Rift

Bethesda’s Doom VFR initially didn't work with Oculus Rift. One day after the game launched, Valve deployed an update to fix the issue. Doom VFR currently works on the SteamVR Beta branch.

Overwatch getting patched all over the place

Overwatch for PC, PlayStaion 4 and Xbox One received a new patch today. The new patch fixes Moira and matchmaking in Competitive play. Doomfist received several fixes in a patch that's now live in the PTR.

Following the public outcry caused by hidden XP scaling in Destiny 2 that caused players to earn less progress than the game let on, Bungie are now either reforming their ways or grasping at straws.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds' new map set to be revealed during The Game Awards. The map was teased back in July. A recent patch was datamined to reveal a nearly finished desert map.

EA hides behind 'Star Wars canon'

EA chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen spoke at the Credit Suisse Annual Technology, Media and Telecom Conference recently. He explained why they will not be moving away from microtransactions and that they are looking for ways to re-activate the system. The usual cosmetic loot boxes seem to be out of the question as EA doesn't want to "violate the canon of Star Wars".

Tencent porting PUBG to mobile

Tencent and PUBG Corp have joined forces to bring PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds to mobile devices all over China. A worldwide release has not yet been confirmed. The port is making "very good progress".

Most PUBG players come from the CS:GO crowd

It's no wonder that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has overtaken Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on Steam's most played games list, since most of the current PUBG players are coming to the game straight from CS:GO. H1Z1 players are also slowly moving over to PUBG.

Call of Duty WWII - COD points now live

Activision launched the COD points overnight. The previously delayed in-game currency came after most of the connectivity issues had been mended. Players who purchased Call of Duty WWII digitally have 1,100 COD points waiting for them in the game.

Rainbow Six Siege Year Three content revealed

Ubisoft named ENCE the champions of the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Season Three Pro League Final. The company also announced Year Three content for Rainbow Six Siege. Year Three Pass will be available in mid-December.

Ghost Recon Wildlands free PvP update

Ghost Recon Wildlands' free PvP update was deployed today. Interference brought a new game mode, new maps and a new PvP class. Five more updates will be released over the coming months.

Rainbow Six: Siege free weekend

Ubisoft has another free weekend in store. Rainbow Six Siege will be free to play from 16 until 19 November. The game will be on sale for up to 60 percent off until 21 November.

Sledgehammer brought dedicated servers back to Call of Duty: WWII. The team had been testing the servers since Sunday, 12 November. The delayed COD points should now be just around the corner.

COD points for Call of Duty WWII have been delayed. The announcement didn't offer any explanation but server and connectivity issues are a strong contestant. The Headquarters stays a solo experience for the moment.

Star Wars Battlefront 2's progression system updated again. Top-tier heroes such as Darth Vader and Leia Organa now cost less credits to unlock. Star Wars Battlefront 2 will launch properly at 11:00 PM GMT on Thursday, 16 November.

PUBG's latest update datamined

PUBG's update that brought climbing, vaulting and new ballistics also packed some unannounced features. Players dug around the game files and found the long awaited desert map and some new vehicles.

Call of Duty WWII managed to hold on to the top of the UK sales chart for two weeks in a row. FIFA 18 climbs back up to number two. Assassin's Creed Origins experiences a 38 percent drop in sales.

Star Wars Battlefront 2's in game currency

Star Wars Battlefront 2's 10 hour trial period is now live. The game's official currency you can buy for real money are Crystals that can be bought in bundles. The bundles will cost you anywhere between £3.99 and £79.99.

Star Wars Battlefront 2's The Last Jedi DLC

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is going to get its first DLC pack in early December. The Last Jedi season kicks off on 05 December. The Last Jedi and all subsequent post launch content for Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be available free of charge.

Battlefield 1 - Nivelle Nights map for all

EA is making their Nivelle Nights map available to all Battlefield 1 players. The map was previously only available to Battlefield 1 Premium Pass and They Shall Not Pass DLC owners. Operation Campaigns are also scheduled to deploy soon.

Fortnite Battle Royale: 20 million players

Fortnite's Twitter account shared the happy news that the game had reached 20 million players. Fortnite Battle Royale was released in September 2017. The game celebrated 10 million players in October.

Call of Duty: WWII available now

Call of Duty: WWII is now available worldwide both digitally and in retail. The new game is decked out with some fresh multiplayer modes including War Mode, Divisions and Headquarters. The game's story campaign follows the story of Ronald “Red” Daniels.

New Overwatch PTR patch nerfs Mercy

Mercy got a new Ultimate ability back in August. The new ability made her very valuable on the battlefield but all that may change when the PTR patch hits the live game. Ana's Bionic Rifle was buffed.
