The Dronemaster update, now available across all platforms, features a smorgasbord of new features that will finally break down the crossplay barriers still in place, following the underwhelming PvE matchmaking update earlier this year which only allowed random team ups across Xbox One and PC.
You can now invite friends to private sessions across PS4, Xbox One, and PC (via the Epic Game Store), with World War Z becoming the latest title in a long line of third party efforts now embracing cross play functionality.
Elsewhere, a new, aptly named Dronemaster class offers fresh ways to play, alongside a semi automatic grenade launcher (ACW-20) and a premium cosmetic pack entitled the "Signature Weapons Pack", which contains four different weapon skins usable across the various main characters.
World War Z is available now, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
